A very belated prize for ~Morrigan22, who won 3rd place in #DowntonAbbey's last contest!! Her entry was great; go check it out.

She requested the ovely Emma Watson as Hermione Granger, and provided this exquisite reference photo. I sat down to start this painting, and just couldn't stop. Seriously, it was so much fun. The picture had such an ethereal and soft quality in it, so I really tried to preserve that here.

I will only remove the watermark if the prize-receiver gives me permission, so please do your best to ignore it for now. :)

About 3-4 hours in CS3.

Absolutely amazing!! This is a beautiful rendering and the skin is amazingly realistic and beautiful! I absolutely love this pic ^^
The only thing I would think needs working on is her clothing which is a little rough, and her right eyelid where the shading is a little weird

Yeah, the clothing was a bit rough. To be honest, the feathers intimidated me, so I fudged them ;) Good catch on the eyelid! I'll have to give it more form once I revisit this piece. :)
