To have the Tesseract, to have power, unlimited power.
Another Loki piece that just wouldn't leave me alone until I painted it. Based on a scene in The Avengers, which continues to be my current favorite movie.
As you can likely tell, the background pays homage to one of my favorite, and one of the most well-known, artists here on dA, `alicexz, whose use of colors and contours constantly blows my mind.
I spent an enormous amount of time working on this piece, really looking to push myself on the realism and details of it. I'd love to hear your comments and critique!
A very well executed piece of art. and I like the way he is looking away without making an eye contact with the viewers, making him look like he's hiding something.
Positives: The details on the armour is extremely well done down to the little triangular texture details around the shoulder. Lighting on the character is appropriate, having half of his face covered in bluish shadow, again creating the mood of the character hiding something.
Things to improve upon: The proortion is a little off - his left shoulder appears a lot wider than the right one. The vertical lines on the background, while being interesting effect, distracts from the main character, also the colours you used on the background is too close to the tones/colours of the character. The hair also appears a little too stiff.
Overall, it is an excellent painting of Loki, and I like it very much.
